Expansion of oil palm plantations, mining activities, and forest encroachment threaten the customary forests of the Mapur people. Until now, the recognition and legal protection of the Mapur indigenous people are still a problem. The customary forests claimed by the Mapur people do not receive recognition from the local government due to the silencing of political voices so that aspirations for recognition do not surface. This condition makes Mapur women gather strength to build solidarity. This study uses the theory of social solidarity from Emile Durkheim. Emile Durkheim divides solidarity into two parts, namely mechanical and organic. The method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are carried out using observation, unstructured interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique begins with data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the process of solidarity of Mapur indigenous women in Air Abik Hamlet, Gunung Muda Village, emerged as a response to the threat of expansion of oil palm companies such as PT. Gunung Pelawan Lestari. Mapur women play an important role in protecting their customary forests and cultural values, by using traditional knowledge to produce creative economic products and ensure environmental sustainability.
