Abstract

This research will examine the concept of local bossism in the enforcement of Pangkalpinang Mayor Regulation Number 7 of 2019 concerning Public Order and Public Peace. The presence of street vendors is a cause of problems, especially on the banks of the Pangkalpinang City Sword Nut Retention Pond. In reality, the area under the Kacang Pesword Retention is not intended for sale but as a Green Open Space (RTH). The emergence of street vendors makes the area chaotic as a result of street vendors erecting semi-permanent buildings such as container booths. Then there is no permit from the Pangkalpinang City Trade Cooperatives and MSMEs Office to sell in the area. This study uses the concept of Local Bossism by John Thayer Sidel as the main theory in the research. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method to consider relevant regarding the problem of the existence of local bossism in traders' activities.
