Abstract

The management of the tourism sector is based on the concept of Good Tourism Governance. The management of the tourism sector is based on the concept of Good Tourism Governance which prioritizes the involvement of 3 actors, namely the government, the community and the private sector. The three have a strategic role in the management of tourist destinations, so that the synergy of the relationship between the three is a factor that determines the success of the management of tourist destinations. The theory used in this study is the theory of Good Tourism Governance from Sunaryo (2013) with the principles of synergistic active participation, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, where primary data sources are obtained through interviews with informants while secondary data sources are obtained through library materials that can support primary information. The criteria for informants in this study are the Culture and Tourism Office of West Bangka Regency, the Government of Air Gantang Village, Bukit Mantan Indah Tourism, and the community. The results of the study show that the sustainable tourism development in Bukit Mantan Indah tourism has been realized. Tourism owners are trying and succeeding in managing the land used for tin mining activities into artificial tourism that can provide benefits to the entire community in Parittiga District. One of the important elements of sustainable tourism development in local communities is to involve them in the process. The participation of the community and the collaboration of stakeholders in sustainable tourism development are expected to provide benefits, play a role, ranging from strategic decision-making to maintaining tourism quality. The following are the challenges faced in the management of BMI Park tourism, namely the lack of budget assistance and infrastructure that is not optimal. In BMI Park tourism, the inadequate electricity supply is a challenge and an obstacle in the management of lodging in BMI Park tourism.
