Abstract

ABSTRACK

This research examines the agrarian conflict between the community of Kembiri Village and the palm oil plantation company PT Foresta Lestari Dwikarya, located in Kembiri Village, Membalong District, Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Province. The conflict began when the company conducted replanting (tree cutting for replanting purposes) without informing the community, as there was no transparency or socialization from the company. In this case, the community demanded their rights, including 20% plasma (land allocation for the local community) and requested a remeasurement of the HGU (Hak Guna Usaha - land use rights) due to irregularities concerning the community's land. The purpose of this study is to investigate the form of community resistance against PT Foresta Lestari Dwikarya and to identify the impacts of this resistance caused by the conflict. This study uses Sidney Tarrow’s Contentious Politics theory as the foundational framework, which includes four indicators of the resistance stages: social mobilization, coalitions and collective action, resistance, and conflict resolution negotiation. This study employs a qualitative descriptive research method, with primary data sources gathered from interviews and documentation to obtain further data. The researcher used snowball sampling technique to determine the informants.
